Clarinet Workshop

REGISTRATION FORM – CLARINET

The clarinet Master classes are led by Raphaël Sévère.

Dates : From July 15th, 2024, to July 20th, 2024

Target Audience :

Clarinetists, at a level of conservatory third cycle or higher, who wish to prepare for a competition (entry to CNSM, international competition, orchestra competition), or simply improve their skills.

Content :

Days 1 to 5 :

  • One individual lesson per day of 30 minutes focused on musical interpretation.
  • One collective lesson per day of one hour on technical aspects of instrumental practice.
  • Access to a practice space between classes.
  • All classes are open to participants, and they are encouraged to attend.

Day 6:

  • Collective warm-up, recap of elements worked on in previous days. General rehearsal.
  • Public collective Master class and final concert.

Objectives of the workshop :

  • Breathing exercises
  • Posture
  • Digital technique exercises
  • Sound exercises

Number of participants per workshop : maximum 10.

Fees : €695 *

The fees include tuition, accommodation, and full board (excluding transportation costs).

Winner of the Tokyo competition at the age of 12, named Instrumental Soloist Revelation at the Victoires de la Musique in 2009 at the age of 15, Raphaël Sévère won the 2013 Young Concerts Artists International Auditions in New York, which awarded him the 1st Prize and 8 of the 10 Special Prizes. He has performed as a soloist with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Sinfonia Varsovia, Orchestre national philharmonique de Russie, Chamber Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Korean National Symphony Orchestra, among others.
