Opera Singing Workshops

 

Master classes for lyrical singing are directed by Raphaël Sikorski.

Dates :

  • Amator : from July 3rd, 2026, to July 8th, 2026
  • Level Advanced or Professional 1 : from July 11th, 2026, to July 17th, 2026
  • Level Advanced or Professional 2 : from July 20th, 2026, to July 26th, 2026

Target Audience :

  • Amator : From July 3rd, 2026, to July 8th, 2026 : Amateur singers of all levels.
  • Workshop 1 : From July 11th, 2026, to July 17th, 2026 : Advanced and professional singers.
  • Workshop 2 : From July 20th, 2026, to July 26th, 2026 : Advanced and professional singers.

Content Amator Workshop :

  • The workshop sessions will focus on vocal technique and work on the repertoire .
  • The training takes place over 35 hours in individual and group sessions.
  • 2 vocal technique coachings with piano accompaniment (45 minutes each) with Raphaël Sikorski.
  • 2 vocal technique coachings with piano accompaniment (45 minutes each) with Christophe Lizère.
  • 4 repertoire coachings (45 minutes each) with the repertoire coach.
  • 1 ensemble class takes place every day to rehearse the ensembles that will be performed at the final concert (duos, trios, quartets, etc.).
  • A final performance will take place on the last day of the program.

Content Workshop 1 – Opera Singing :

  • The workshop sessions will focus on vocal technique and work on the repertoire.
  • The training takes place over 42 hours in individual and group sessions.
  • 4 vocal technique coaching sessions accompanied by piano (45 minutes each).
  • 4 repertoire coaching sessions with the repertoire coach (45 minutes each).
  • A group class takes place every day, allowing the formation of ensembles that will be performed at the final recital (duos, trios, quartets, etc.).
  • The final recital of workshop is included in the programming of the Festival de la Chéronne.

Content Workshop 2 – Opera Singing & Stage Work :

  • The workshop sessions will focus on vocal technique and work on the repertoire.
  • The training takes place over 42 hours in individual and group sessions.
  • 4 vocal technique coaching sessions accompanied by piano (45 minutes each).
  • 4 repertoire coaching sessions with the repertoire coach (45 minutes each).
  • 2 stage performance coachings with stage director Flannan Obé (45 minutes each).
  • A group class takes place every day, allowing the formation of ensembles that will be performed at the final recital (duos, trios, quartets, etc.) in the presence of Flannan Obé.
  • The final recital of workshop is included in the programming of the Festival de la Chéronne.

Pianists / Vocal Coaches :

  • Amator : Nils Rousson.
  • Level Advanced or Professional 1 : Qiaochu Li & Damien Lehman.
  • Level Advanced or Professional 2 : Nino Pavlenichvili & Corine Durous.

Number of participants per workshop : maximum 12.

Fees :

  • Amator : €925 *
  • Level Advanced or Professional 1 & 2 : €995 *
  • The fees include tuition, accommodation, and full board (excluding transportation costs).

Funding :

For Workshops Level Advanced or Professional 1 & 2, there are several options: external assistance (Afdas, France travail, etc.) or scholarships of up to €300 may be granted to singers under 30 years old by the festival.

Raphaël Sikorski is a graduate lyrical singer from the Royal College of Music in London. He is also an actor (trained at the National School of Arts and Techniques of Theatre and at the National Conservatory of Paris). He has collaborated with renowned singing stars such as Rolando Villazòn, Vito Priante, and Eléonore Pancrazi (2019 Victoire de la Musique). As a vocal coach, he has worked with the Academy of the Opéra-Comique from 2013 to 2016 and is regularly invited to teach abroad in master classes such as Corso d’Opera in Montepulciano and the Opera na’ Tela Festival in Rio de Janeiro.
