Piano Workshop

 

The piano Master classes are directed by Paul Montag.

Dates : From July 13th, 2025, to July 18th, 2025

Target Audience :

  • Advanced pianists (minimum required: DEM / Specialized Cycle)
  • Professionals willing to refine their technical and musical work on the piano repertoire in preparation for various international competitions as well as major French and international schools.

Content :

  • One private lesson of 45 minutes per day.
  • One chamber music class per day led by Paul Montag with students from other instrument classes.
  • Access to a space to work between lessons.
  • All classes are open to participants, and they are encouraged to attend.
  • A public master class and a presentation concert are organized at the end of the workshop.

Objectives of the workshop :

  • Work on piano technique : sound research, digital development without muscular constraints on the worked repertoire.
  • Development of the repertoire and research on it, so that it is in line with the pianistic profile.
  • Role-playing, managing stage fright for musical and mental preparation for international competitions and major higher education schools.

Number of participants per workshop : maximum 10.

A professor at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, Paul Montag has been performing on major stages across Europe, the United States, Canada, Asia, and North Africa since his childhood. He is one of the few contemporary pianists to have had the privilege of performing multiple times in Salzburg on W.A. Mozart’s original pianoforte, and his discography, unanimously recognized by the specialized press, includes the early piano music of Paul Hindemith, Claude Debussy, as well as various integrals.
